Is it good to hold multiple altcoins?
« on: March 27, 2019, 10:03:50 AM »
Holding multiple altcoins is good because it is always good for every investor to diversify his portfolio. However, not all altcoins on the market are worth holding for long term. This is why every investor is required to do a personal research on these altcoins, know the product and its demand on the market before choosing to hold for a particular point in time.

The advantage of holding multi currency is that you get a higher chance of acquiring an asset to multiply its value a few months or years after. Holding at least 20 kinds of asset will definitely keep you on track and holding more than 50 may keep you out of track. This is just base from my experience and each of us have our own strategy.

Is good to hold some cryptocurrencies but don't hold too many of them due to the high volatile crypto market. But if you really trust in any project and see their use case to be very useful then you can hold such coins also and wait for moon.

Not only multiple altcoins but that should be high potential coins because holding several kind of shit coins never been useful in even long term. One should not depend on 1-2 crypto currencies because diversification is always a good choice to reduce the risk of loss and always do proper research from multiple ways to confirm whether to invest in xyz coin or not.

Hold is the best option but hold multiple coin is not good. I think hold only 2-3 good coins which have potential.

Having multiple coin is not the issue , though shit coin also have their own day.  But it is good to have good coins with alot of potential, no matter how good coin dip, it will bounce back compare to shitcoin , typical example is only bat and veil privacy coin do well among 6 altcoins I bought 2 months ago

Holding multiple altcoins is good but not just any altcoin, strong, solid projects with good usecase because it helps reduce the investment risk at barest minimum.
Multiple doesn't mean holding over 20 altcoins, just 5-10 potential coins can do the magic.
For instance, I'm holding neo, Ripple, veil network, bat, ethereum and stellar and I believe they can give me high return.
DO your research before any investment.

Yes it's quite cool holding multiple altcoins and not just putting all your funds on just one. But not just any altcoin, due diligence is required to make good picks. For instance, you look at the team, the product, the development so far on github etc. My favorite picks lately on my portfolio include WABI for utility coins, VEIL for privacy coins including other like TRX, EOS.

Holding multiple altcoins shows the crypto investor is knowledgeable enough. But that is when the hold is for meaningful altcoins like Veil privacy coins, binance exchange coins, etc.

You are very correct. Some brag with the content of their portfolio when it's actually filled with trash. The main thing is holding coins with potentials. I hold only bitcoin, ethereum and Veil. At least, these are valuable and will give good profits in the long run.

Thanks for this post. Many people still do not understand the meaning of diversification. Don't stay at a place and expect same results, no. That ethereum did well today doesn't mean it won't get sour. Research, get into profitable and unique projects, Harmony, Ripple, Veil, Monero, Zcash. Gather more for more returns.

It is good to hold multiple altcoins but don't hold altcoins that is not efficient for long term in case the project fall to continue the project to avoid loosing in your investment, you can look out for stable coins to hold it's more better.
